INTRODUCTION
Hi there! Welcome to yet another article on revo. I'm glad that there are some of you there who are actively reading all these articles. Afterall it's part of raw deal. Even if you don't like it, no harm gaining more exposure That said, let's get down to business! As promised in the previous article, this week we will be going in depth into each of the 5 factions and how decks are built around them. Since it's going to be a long article, we will be going through 3 factions today, and another 2 next week! Click HERE for a quick summary of factions in case you missed it somehow.
Faction 1: Tomorrow's WWE Legends
Primary effect: Good against superstars like Santino and Brock Lesnar that has the tendency to pack title belts. Otherwise, won't see much usage.
Secondary effect: Very good effect due to following points:
1) In Revo, Pre-match slot is scarce and not many cards can add slots. By granting the extra slot, you are able to sync with the other Pre-match cards.
2) And as mentioned in the previous article, Faction cards have secondary effects and this faction allows the player to activate the secondary effect quicker. By having the Faction, the Pre-match, and another superstar Pre-match, you would be able to start using your secondary effects. Probably the fastest of the 5 factions to do so. Either that or, you can just enjoy the free slot for another pre-match:)
Even Good Guys Do Bad Things
Primary effect: Similarly to the other Pre-match, the primary effect is not very effective unless you are facing superstars like Kofi Kingston or Dolph Ziggler when they discard for their ability or when your opponent is prone to playing the maneuver-antic hybrids.
Secondary effect: The secondary effect is identical to an Oversell Maneuver, except that it's on an antic. By blanking key antics that opponent play such as match winning cards like It All Led To This and Where There's A Will, There's A Way, it would certainly disrupt with your opponent's tactics. That said, not many decks play non-unique antics in fear of the aggression rule so you might want to give this a pass.
Live Fast-Fight Hard (errata)
Primary effect: As usual, antics are best played early game cause once any player reaches 7F, they are open to playing Why Don't You Kiss My Ass. Therefore, this antic is very good in landing first turn means or colossals. With a -15F, you are able to play 75% of most non-follow up maneuvers. However, take into consideration that your opponent might pack Close Your Eyes Or It's Game Over (Reverses mean or antic if its not the first card). Therefore, choose the next card played carefully. My personal advice is not to chain off antics cause of Talk Is Cheap (reverses antics as long as its not the first card played that turn) which would give him free 3F. Therefore, my suggestion is to hit an early colossal. Early game sees very little colossal reversals, less Masochists Of The Heart which requires it to be overturned.
Secondary Effect: Contrary to the primary text, the secondary effect is definitely more effective late game, when maneuvers are lacking. Although there is a constant fear of eating the aggression rule, risking it to pull 3 maneuvers to finish off your opponent might be worth it.
Caution: You're Entering The O-Zone
Primary Effect: Overall, it’s a good card to replace I Can Do Anything I Want as you get to remove your opponent’s ring, instead of dropping 3 cards are removing your own ring.
Secondary Effect: Straight forward. But keeping this in mind, maybe you can use this faction for superstars like Kurt Angle or William Regal who regularly
drops opponent’s hand, amplifying the effect in general.

Edge FX
The Best is always kept for the last. Edge FX is by far the best card of this faction. There is no need to split this into primary and secondary effect because at the end of the day, the gist of the card is to enable the player to keep reusing it over and over again, be it from your ring or ringside. Therefore, it is only fair that we look into how we can further utilise the card.
In comes Ring Psychology Chest. Wala! By constantly reusing Edge FX, you gain 2 advantages:
1) you will never eat the aggression rule,
2) you can recover! Both advantages give you a serious edge over your opponent as it thins their deck while you are recovering. Now you understand the true power of Edge FX.... But wait. There is more. Did you realise that Edge FX is F:15? Isn’t that familiar? Yup, you can always try to link Live Fast – Fight Hard to Edge FX for initiate Fort.

VIRTUAL SUPPORT:
There is nothing much to boast about this card. Other than the fact that it reverses trademarks which would come in handy at any point of the game. What is important about this and the following virtual support cards are that they all contain the title of their faction. Therefore, they are able to help satisfy the criteria to activate the secondary effect of each faction card.
Overall advice: This faction gives you an edge (pun intended!) over your opponent in terms of activating the secondary effects of the faction cards. The safety net for antics by Good Guys and Caution allows you to streamline your defense and up your aggro game. Accompanied with Live Fast and Edge FX, you would win the game in no time!
Recommended Superstars:
Kurt Angle – With his ability to force discard in order to reverse an extreme, it would put your opponent in a dilemma whether to discard to reverse, or eat the 8 damage over and over again. Currently, there is no ‘Removed from the game’ pile in Revo. Therefore, once it appears in the ring or ringside, your opponent can kiss his hand good bye.
RVD – His ability allows him to pack 3 of each unique extremes. That said, it doesn’t really compliment his game play as a whole, but a good amount of Target: Chest can grant you some serious recovery.
Faction 2: The Degenerates
There isn’t much to emphasize on it’s effects. The +2SSV frankly doesn’t make a difference cause the game can go either ways. Unlike in classic where you have Pump Kick of cards like Beating From Dudleyville, Revo has none of those types of cards. So starting first or not doesn’t really matter. Drawing 2 and discarding 1 could benefit Ric Flair though since he has a small hand, and with his ability to pick up certain cards with his ability, he could work around the discard part quite well by discarding something that he can use his ability to pick up.
H-Line
There is no primary effect for this card as the Fort-to-Damage ratio is very good for a non-superstar specific card. Even superstar specific cards might not give you such a good range. By getting to 30F, you are able to bridge into Carlito’s Backstabber, Ric Flair’s Figure Four and Shawn Michael’s Showstopper Sweet Chin Music. The secondary effect allows you to discard 1 unique card from his hand. It would be up to personal preference on what to discard. But with the generous Fort curve, the effect is secondary.
Assisted By The Dirtiest Player In The Game
Once again, this faction card does not have a primary effect, but it does allow you to reverse any core. The secondary effect is also negligible if you already have cores in your hand or if this was used late game. 1 possible benefit for this card would be to suit the 1st reversal style where the reversals are all core. Thus, you would be able to pick up applicable hybrid reversals.

Heartbreaker
Similarly, no primary effect. But being able to reverse BOTH mean and colossal means you can streamline your reversals. It’s secondary effect can be put to good use especially if you are in dire need of a certain card. Although they cannot be re-arranged, you can have the choice to put certain cards below your arsenal and leave the more desirable cards on the top. This card will grant you the 12F needed to play H-Line.
Eat Spit
Primary Effect: Nothing much to boast about. But having a bigger hand is always better.
Secondary Effect: This is the highlight of the card. There are many ‘restrictions’ to play antics and chaining Means because of certain mid-match staples. A simple calculation would tell you that out of 12 backlash cards, a minimal 3 to 4 Pre-match would be played, which leaves 8 cards in the backlash. With Eat Spit, you are able to drop at least half of the backlash. This is not taking into account those cards that he has already used, or if he played more pre-match cards. Once his backlash reversals are gone, you are able to go wild on your antics and means. With it being at F:0, there is literally only 1 card in the whole revo format that can reverse this card and that card would be the main highlight of the next article.
VIRTUAL SUPPORT
Base off experience, this should be the only instance of Fort plunge in revo. But I might be wrong. That said, this card is good if you are at the borderline Fort where you are almost near colossal range, but not quite there yet. With a further Fort plunge, your opponent’s I Can Do Anything I Want and I Won’t Be Beat Tonight would cost more to be played.
Overall Advice: The Degenerates grants you a balance between aggro and defense, but its true power lies in Eat Spit.
Superstar Recommendation:
The faction can go many directions, be it antic heavy or aggressive or defensive. In terms of smooth Fort curves, Shawn Michaels would be a top pick cause he’s already a part of the faction, plus with H-Line connecting, he is open to using his Trademark Showstopper Sweet Chin as a maneuver or a reversal.

Faction 3: Attitude Adjusters.
Offhand, the effects are immediate and you are allowed to search for 1 card with 'Attitude' in the title.
Burn Out Attitude
Although it is difficult to reverse a faction, the payoff is very good as it grants a guaranteed momentum for you next card played. Still, you might want to reconsider packing this card as it takes up slots in your small backlash, plus your opponent might not be playing factions in the first place.
Candy-A$% Attitude
Primary Effect: At F:3 and without requirements to play this card, it could help remove any pesky reversals for your maneuvers. Alternatively, you can let the aggression rule to the job for you by dropping his maneuvers.
Secondary Effect: One of the few cards in Revo that allows you to put card(s) from your Ringside to hand.
Undying Attitude
Primary Effect: Much like an ace effect, using it at crucial times can stop you opponent from chaining into follow-ups.
Secondary Effect: Matching its title of ‘undying’, putting up to 3 reversals into your hand is a good thing. This effect works relatively well with the 3rd reversal style as they are low Fort reversals that can cover both means AND colossals.
Probably the best of the 5 antics, the primary effect allows you to chain into bigger moves while preventing reversals from opponent’s Mid-match. With its secondary effect in play, that maneuver would be more painful than ever.
VIRTUAL SUPPORT:
This Pre-match allows you to play your 'Attitude' antics at a cheaper cost and lifting the requirement means that even if the Pre-match:Faction is gone, the other ‘Attitude’ cards can still be played less the Mid-match reversal. Do take note that the 2nd paragraph about reducing your opponent’s starting hand size by 1 does not take effect in Revo format because all hand are drawn before Pre-match phase begins. Nothing much to mention for the 2 Antics, except that they not count as ‘Attitude’ cardsto activate secondary effects because this card does not contain ‘Attitude Adjusters’ in the text. However, they will still receive the -4F from the Pre-match.
Overall Advice: I still feel that this faction requires high skill to fully utilize. Each card has its individual effects that are strong, but there could be a larger synergy that I have yet to identify.
Recommendations: I would suppose the better superstars to suit this faction would be those appearing on the faction card, or superstars that links antics with their abilities. But then again, anyone can benefit from those individual effects.
CONCLUSION:
