INTRODUCTION
It’s the time of the week where you get another Revo article! Would like to apologise for the slight delay in uploading due to my exam schedules. But now that its over, we can go ahead with today's article! Before that, let me answer a question by my friend:
Q: Can I play cards with revolution in the title like A Revolution of the mind in a revo format game?
A: The answer is no. Revo format only allows cards that has the revo logo included in the text.
Done! Let's move on to today's topic where we would be looking at a very important type of Pre-match card called Faction. A faction is a pre-match card that has a few Superstar logos on it. In total, there are 5 such faction cards. Each faction has its own unique ability, as well as 4 support cards that would synergize with each other. But today, we would just be introducing the concept of a faction and its support cards. Over the next 2 weeks, we will be looking in depth into each faction and their support! So.........
Let's get it on!!
Firstly, here's a sample pic of a Faction Card:
As you can see, a Faction card contains SS logos. In Tomorrow’s WWE Legends, you can see the logos of John Cena, Batista, Randy Orton, Edge and Leader Of The Edge Army. These superstars belong to this faction and they get to use its secondary effect. In this case, the maximum amount of Pre-match you can have in your ring is increased by 1. However, any superstar can pack and play this card as well as other faction cards. As it is only a unique card, you and your opponent can both play the same faction. You are also allowed to play more than 1 faction.
Here is a sample of the 4 support cards of the above faction:
For a more in depth explanation, let’s look at Edge FX.
Revolution Edge FX
Extreme: Mean
Requirement: “Revolution Tomorrow’s WWE® Legends” Faction in your Ring.
During your turn, if this card is in your Ring, you may discard 2 cards: put this card into your hand.
If you have 3 or more Superstar-specifics from “Tomorrow’s WWE Legends” Faction Members and/or cards with “Tomorrow’s WWE Legends” in the text in your Ring, during your turn, if this card is in your Ringside, you may discard 2 cards: put this card into your hand.

The words in purple belong to the requirement for the card to be played. Therefore, Edge FX can only be played when ‘Tomorrow’s WWE Legends’ is in your ring.
The words in red belong to the primary effect of the card. This text would be activated when the card is successfully played. (Side note: Edge FX is a very good card as in can be re-used again and again!)
The words in blue belong to the secondary effect of the card. In summary, as long as you have 3 or more cards that are either SS cards with the logo on the Pre-match: Faction, and/or cards with ‘the faction title’ in the text, you can enjoy its secondary effect.
Here’s an example to give you a clearer picture on how to activate the secondary effect:
I am playing Edge, and I played Tomorrow’s WWE Legends, Edge’s Pre-match card, and Even Good Guys Sometimes Do Bad Things (support card) during my Pre-match phase. I would have satisfied the requirement on Edge FX’s secondary text since I have 1) the Faction Pre-match, 2) a SS card with Edge’s logo on it, and 3) a card with “Tomorrow’s WWE Legends” in the text in my ring.
SUPPORT CARDS
With all that said, faction doesn’t stop here. There are several cards in Revo that works well with faction cards. Here, we would be taking a look at some of them.
CONCLUSION
With that, I hope that you have a clearer picture of faction cards in Revo format and how to best use them. There are a total of 5 factions and I will be going through each one in detail in the next article. That’s all for now. Thank you for reading! As usual, feel free to leave any feedback or queries in the comment section below and I will address them accordingly!
Until next time, happy revolutionizing!
